Meet Maggie
My name is Maggie Hartmann and I am running for Pocono Mountain School Board in Region 1: Barrett, Paradise, and Pocono townships. I grew up in the Lehigh Valley where I studied trumpet and vocal music at a charter school. I attended West Chester University, where I helped to establish a 501 c(3) non-profit. I was the recipient of the 2011 College of Arts and Science Research Award, which allowed me to travel to Cambodia for 2 months to conduct research on non-profit standards. I took a break from undergad when I returned, but eventually earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Sociology from Excelsior College. I am married and have 2 children who will be entering the public school system Fall 2023, and Fall 2024.

- "Furthermore, educators and school and district leaders should strive for high levels of consciousness around racial literacy, gender equality, ableist practices, and actions that disenfranchise students who have minimal economic and social resources."
